Internship Program Information

Have you thought about offering an internship in your department, but you don't know where to begin? Have you used the Professional Student Intern class specification before, but now you'd like something tailored to your department?

Great news!! Now you can be assisted in creating a program for your department. Not only can you have a specific program, but it can also be featured on the Human Resources Internship site!   • Flexible Hours: 10 to 40 hours per week (depending on position duration)
  • Flexible Terms: Summer or fall internships
  • Flexible pay: Can be paid or voluntary
  • Wide range of positions: Accounting / Finance, Engineering, Human Resources Management / Administration and anything in between!

In order to participate in the Internship Program, a department must identify the position as related to an academic field of study, provide an opportunity which allows for hands-on pre-professional or professionally related work assignments and tasks, assign a professional staff member to be the intern site supervisor/mentor, be prepared to assist the student in developing and achieving personal learning goals and providing feedback on a regular basis.
