Resignation & Exit Interview

Resignation:

If you intend to resign from County employment, you should give your supervisor a written notice. A two-week notice or longer is preferred. You must return any County property which you may have before receiving your final paycheck. Your final pay will normally be on the next regular payday following your date of separation.

Exit Interview:

Exit interviews are required by BOS Policy C-22. Employees who leave the County, regardless of the reason, are encouraged to participate in an exit interview. You or your supervisor may arrange an exit interview appointment with your department head or designated representative. This interview allows you to communicate your views on your work with the County and the job requirements, operations, and training needs. Your comments, based on first-hand experience, can be extremely helpful in improving County services. The full text of Policy C-22 can be viewed on the County Intranet site or by clicking here.
