Automatic Deposit of Payroll

Generally, the County pays by direct deposit. To sign up, you need to provide the department representative with a copy of a voided or canceled check (not a deposit slip) to arrange a checking account deposit, or a savings account statement and your bank or credit union's receiving number for transit routing. Arranging your electronic deposit will take a little time--usually a month. In the meantime, you will receive a check. Changing banks also requires lead time. After the automatic deposit goes into effect, you will continue to receive a pay advice. County employees are able to view their pay stubs and advices online each pay period.
