Accommodation under ADA/FEHA

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California’s Fair Employment & Housing Act (FEHA) prohibit discrimination based on disability. Under these laws, Riverside County provides reasonable accommodation to qualified employees or applicants with disabilities or medical conditions (as defined in FEHA), unless doing so would cause undue hardship to its operations. You may request accommodation by talking to your supervisor or manager, or by contacting your Human Resources services team. Should you need additional information, you may also contact the Human Resources Department’s Disability Access Office at (951) 955-5663. See the Appendix section for Employee Rights and Responsibilities under FMLA and Department of Fair Employment and Housing notice.
