District Attorney
The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office represents the People of the State of California in all criminal matters arising in Riverside County. With a budget of $60 million and a staff of 500, the District Attorney’s Office is the fifth-largest district attorney’s office in California and the 16th largest in the nation. The 180 prosecutors and 320 support personnel serve the citizens from six branch offices throughout the county - from Temecula in the southwest to Blythe on the Colorado River. Their goal is to make Riverside County a safer place to live. With assistance from investigators and other support personnel, the department’s attorneys prosecute felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases.

The Victim Witness Assistance Center staff helps victims and witnesses navigate the criminal justice system to recover expenses incurred as a result of crime. The Victim Witness staff provides services to more than 10,000 victims and witnesses each year. As a public prosecutor of both criminal and civil cases, the District Attorney strives to ensure that justice prevails and that the rights of all are safeguarded.
