Temporary Assignment Program (TAP)
Function:
TAP operates similar to an outside temporary agency, but TAP’s administrative charge is significantly less, saving the County over a million dollars per year and supplying County departments with services that are tailored to their staffing needs.
The assigning process is used to identify employees that are available, qualified and the best match for a customer assignment. The outcome of this process is a temporary employee accepting an assignment that best matches their qualifications and experience, and a customer that is satisfied with TAP’s services and the employee assigned to them.
TAP offers County departments with a variety of staffing alternatives:
• Temporary Assignment Program
• Career Assignment Program
• Medical Per Diem Pool/Nurse Registry
• Medical “On Call” Pool
• Volunteer Services Program
