Purpose

The purpose of this procedure is to provide a method for reclassification of an employee to a different existing classification and reallocate the position within the department's approved budget.  The reclassification process is the result of a Human Resources job audit or at the request of the department.  The reclassification process can be used only if all the criteria described in the procedures document below are present.
